Frequently asked questions

Using a Surviso visualizer

For anyone who landed on a business's visualizer and wants to see a material in their own room.

How does the visualizer work?

You upload a photo of your room, pick a product from the business's catalog, and press Visualize. Our AI redraws your photo with that material on the right surface, whether that's the countertop, the cabinets or the floor. Then you can drag a slider to compare the result with your original.

Do I need an account, or to pay anything?

No account and no cost. Open the page, upload a photo and start.

What kind of photo works best?

A clear, evenly lit photo taken straight on, with the surface you want to change fully in view. Kitchens and bathrooms work best, and clearing clutter off the counter helps. JPG, PNG and WEBP files are accepted at any size, because we resize them for you.

How long does a visualization take?

Usually 10 to 20 seconds. A busy moment can stretch that. If it seems stuck, give it a little longer before trying again, since a second attempt uses up one of your visualizations.

Can I try several products at once?

Yes. Pick one product from each category, for example a quartz countertop, a cabinet finish and a floor, and see them together in a single visualization. Use the category tabs above the photo to switch between them.

Why is there a limit on how many I can run?

Every visualization costs real money to produce. To keep the tool free for everyone, each browser session can run a limited number, five by default. If you reach it, try again after a day or ask the business to help.

Does Surviso save my photo?

No. Your photo stays in your browser tab until you press Visualize. It is then sent to our AI provider to draw the result, and it isn't saved on our servers or in our storage.

Will the result match the real material exactly?

Treat it as a close guide, not a guarantee. Lighting, your screen and the limits of the AI can shift color and pattern a little. Before you order, look at a physical sample in your own light.

The AI changed something it shouldn't have. What can I do?

Try again, or upload a photo taken a bit straighter or in better light. Results differ from run to run, so a second attempt can look quite different. Cabinet finishes only apply to built-in kitchen and bathroom cabinets, so freestanding furniture should stay as it was.

Why did my visualization fail or get refused?

Sometimes the AI service is busy and the request fails, and now and then it declines an image, for instance when no clear surface is visible. Both count toward your session's limit. A clearer photo usually fixes it.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, with nothing to install. On a phone you can pick a photo from your gallery or take a new one.

For businesses

For stone, cabinet, flooring and surfacing businesses thinking about offering Surviso to their customers.

What materials can we visualize?

Quartz, granite, cabinets and flooring today. Each product in your catalog is a swatch image, and a single catalog can mix categories, so a shopper can combine one from each in one preview.

How is this different from a generic AI image generator?

It does one job: putting a specific product from your catalog onto the right surface of a customer's own photo. Each preview starts from your product's sample image rather than a text description, and the tool knows the difference between a countertop, cabinets and a floor, so it doesn't repaint the rest of the room.

Do our customers need to install anything?

No. The visualizer runs in the browser on desktop and mobile, with no downloads or app installs on the customer's end.

Can customers use their own photos?

Yes, that is the whole idea. A customer uploads a photo of their own kitchen, bathroom or room and sees your product in it.

How do we get started?

Tell us about your catalog through the Make It Yours button. We set up your page, add your logo and products, and send you a link. A catalog of a few hundred products can go in from a spreadsheet, up to 500 products per business.

Where does the visualizer live?

Each business gets its own page on a surviso.com address, such as yourname.surviso.com, showing your logo and name. If you'd like it on a domain of your own, say so when you get in touch.

Can we limit how many visualizations a visitor gets?

Yes. We set a limit per session for each business, five by default, and can raise or lower it for you.

Do you keep our customers' photos?

No. Photos are used to draw the preview and aren't saved. Your customers' contact details only reach us if they fill in our own contact form, never through your visualizer.
