Privacy Policy
Last updated November 4, 2026
This policy explains what Surviso collects when you use a Surviso visualizer or get in touch with us, what happens to it, and the choices you have. We've kept it specific on purpose. If something here doesn't match what you see happening, tell us.
Who we are
Surviso builds the visualization tool that stone, cabinet, flooring and surfacing businesses offer to their customers. When this policy says "we" or "Surviso", it means the team that runs that tool.
A visualizer carries the name and logo of the business that offers it, but Surviso runs it, and Surviso is responsible for the data described below.
Your room photo
When you choose a photo, your browser shrinks it and keeps it in that browser tab only. It is sent to us when you press Visualize, together with the products you picked.
We pass your photo and the product sample images to Google's Gemini image model, which draws the preview, and the result goes straight back to your screen. We do not save your photo or the result in our database or file storage. Close the tab or choose a different photo, and it is gone from your browser too.
Because Google processes the photo at that step, Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to it, and we don't control how Google handles data sent to its API.
Please avoid photos that show people, documents or anything else you wouldn't want processed.
Usage limits: a cookie and your IP address
Every visualization costs real money to produce, so each browser session can only create a limited number. We count them with a random ID stored in a cookie called surviso_sid. It holds no personal information, and your browser normally deletes it when you close the browser.
We also count visualizations per IP address, in case someone clears their cookies between tries. We store only a scrambled, one-way version of the address (a hash), never the address itself, and these counters expire after 24 hours.
Usage statistics
We record simple events so we can tell whether the service is working: which business's page was opened, the browser and device details it announces (the first part of its user agent text, such as the browser name, version and operating system), whether a visualization succeeded, was refused by the AI or failed, how long it took, how many products were picked and from which categories, and any error message. The browser details help us tell real visitors from automated traffic.
These records contain no photos, names, email addresses, IP addresses or cookie IDs. We delete them after 90 days.
When you contact us
The "Make It Yours" form asks for your company name, email address and phone number. We email them to the Surviso team so we can reply, and we use them for that conversation and nothing else. We don't add you to a mailing list.
We keep the email for as long as the conversation or business relationship lasts, and delete it if you ask.
Who else handles data
- Amazon Web Services hosts the website and stores each business's logo and product images.
- MongoDB Atlas hosts our database: business and product records, the usage statistics above, and the usage counters.
- Google runs the Gemini model that draws your preview, and the mail service that delivers contact form messages to us.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising. There are no advertising or analytics trackers on our pages.
The business whose visualizer you use does not receive your photo.
How long we keep things
- Your room photo: not stored by us. It lives in your browser tab until you close it.
- The visualization result: not stored by us.
- Session and IP counters: 24 hours.
- Usage statistics: 90 days.
- Contact form emails: until the conversation ends, or until you ask us to delete them.
- A business's records: for as long as that business uses Surviso.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Since we don't keep photos and the usage data can't be tied to a person, this mostly means your contact form message in practice.
Depending on where you live, local law may give you further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We'll honor them.
Children
Surviso visualizers are for adults planning a home project. They aren't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS, and access to our database and storage is limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfectly secure, which is one reason we keep so little: the less we hold, the less there is to lose.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects your photos or contact details in a meaningful way, we'll say so here, plainly, before it takes effect.
